Second Stage Recipes

Here is a list of recipes that you can use on the second stage of the intro diet!!  I really did miss eggs and spices...  YUMMMM


GAPS Legal Spaghetti

You can also freeze the sauce if you have extra.

Ingredients:

Sauce:  Three cups of tomato sauce

One medium sized pepper of your choice

One Onion

Five leaves of Basil

Oregano to taste (With the spices, just get as much as you like)

Salt to taste

Two cloves of Garlic

A quarter of a pound of hamburger meat

Spaghetti:

As much spaghetti squash as needed

Boil halfed spaghetti squash in water with half a teaspoon of salt until skin is soft when poked.

While the spaghetti is boiling, get the onions, peppers, garlic, spices, crumbled raw hamburger meat, and salt simmering until everything is nice and cooked.  Taste to see if it needs any more spices, if it does, just keep cooking with a little bit more spices for a few minutes more. 

Serve on hot or cold buttery "spaghetti".

Gaps Legal Chicken Casserole for Two


I was looking for something to eat for supper, and as you know, on stage three there still isn't much big meals you can eat.  Then suddenly,  Chicken Casserole!













GAPS Legal Mayonnaise

Yum!  You can use Mayonnaise in everything!  From egg salad to ranch to cakes and here is a GAPS legal version!


GAPS Legal Mayonnaise
  • 2 Egg Yolks (room temp!!
  • 1 1/2 T Lemon Juice
  • 1 T Whey (Optional)
  • 1/3 C Coconut Oil
  • 2/3 C Grapeseed Oil
Procedure:

Put the egg yolks in the food processer and turn on.  Add the lemon juice and the optional whey and keep blending for two minutes.  And then slowly, (the cup with the tiny hole that sometimes comes with a food processer works perfectly)  (and I mean slowly otherwise it wont work)  pour the oils in, only pouring a tiny stream (as tiny as you can make it) while it is still mixing.  When you are done it should be a thick yellowish mayonnaise.  If it isn't then I'm pretty sure you didn't follow my recipe exactly!
